Sustainability as a way of thinking and working
Sustainability Beacon: We show you how to take a holistic approach to sustainability – IDGs for SDGs.
Sustainable transformation presents us with a major challenge. When we look at real-world examples, we can see that in many areas we still lack the right strategies to effectively address the complex challenge of “sustainability.” So how do we take action, how do we stay committed, and how do we get others on board?
While the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to transform the world, the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) focus on inner development and empowerment to successfully shape this transformation. To this end, the IDGs explore the transformative skills we need for sustainable development. The Inner Development Guide describes 25 skills across five dimensions that empower organizations and their members to achieve the sustainability goals.
In this seminar, you’ll get to know the IDGs in a lively and playful way. We’ll delve deeply into the five dimensions of the IDG Guide and explore the 25 skills through interactive exercises. Along the way, you’ll discover new methods and receive practical tips on how to apply the IDGs in your team, company, or organization.
Why are the Inner Development Goals helpful? In the first module, you’ll receive an introduction to the background and mission of the IDGs. You’ll learn how the IDGs relate to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and what this means for the sustainable transformation of your company or organization.
You will become familiar with the Inner Development Guide, which consists of five dimensions—Being, Thinking, Relating, Collaborating, and Acting—and encompasses a total of 25 skills. We will explore various levels of analysis and potential applications.
How do we create spaces for inner development? In the second module, we take a closer look at the five dimensions of the IDG Framework. To do this, we view the IDGs as a space that enables and fosters inner development—not only for ourselves but also for organizations.
Join us in this module on an interactive journey through the IDGs, approach the skills with your own understanding, and reflect together on your experiences.
How can you develop the IDGs? In this module, we’ll take an in-depth and interactive look at the 25 IDG competencies. We’ll get hands-on, try out different methods, and dive deeper into the IDGs. Along the way, you’ll receive practical tips on how to approach working with the IDGs in your team or organization.
We’ll also show you what you can learn from games and how you can use them to develop teams. Of course, we’ll start with ourselves and practice the IDGs in a playful way.
What do the IDGs mean for organizational development? In this module, we’ll get down to specifics. We’ll take a close look at where and how the IDGs can be applied in practice. You’ll develop your own ideas for implementing the IDGs in practice, benefit from exchanging ideas with others, and receive plenty of practical tips on how to get started right away.
We’ll reconnect with the SDGs and take action to drive sustainable transformation forward.
